Training and Experience:
1938-40 - Studied painting at the Royal Academy Schools, London
1940-46 - War Service, worked on camouflage and mapping
1946-49 - Studied painting at the Slade School of Fine Art, London
1949-50 - Institute of Education, London, studied ceramics with William Newland, and attended evening classes at Central School of Art with Dora Billington.

Selected Exhibitions:
1949-66 - Teacher at the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham Court, concentrating at first on pottery
1950-65 - Workshop at Corsham, Wilts
1951 - First show of work at Gimpel Fils, London
1959-78 - Concentrates on sculpture in bronze
1965-88 - Workshop at Borcombe, near Lewes, Sussex
1966-86 - Appointed as Head of Fine Art, Brighton College of Art. Set up sculpture department
1978 - Began to produce pottery again
1986 - Retired
