John Law
und Peter Sedgley 'licht + visuelle texte' Erfurt, versch. Orte in der
Altstadt Mit den ‘Nichtmaterialien’ Licht und Text gestalten zehn europäische Künstler immaterielle ‘Skulpturen’, die ihre architektonische Umgebung in der Erfurter Altstadt künstlerisch reflektieren. John Law studierte Bildende Kunst an der Bath Academy und erhielt ein Stipendium der Königlichen Akademie für Bildende Künste in Den Haag. Sein Projekt ist die Akzentuierung von Strukturen durch rhythmisch gesteuertes Licht an der Fachwerkfassade des Hauses ‘Zum Güldenen Krönbacken’. Peter Sedgley studierte Architektur und Bauwesen und ist Gründungsmitglied des Art Information Registry (AIR) Information Centre of the Arts. Sein Projekt soll im Hof der Erfurter Musikschule - einem Renaissancebau - eine Lichtskulptur auf einer Wand entstehen lassen, die auf Live-Musik und Tonbandaufnahmen reagiert. and Peter Sedgley 'light + visual texts' Erfurt, various sites in
the old town Ten European artists will design immaterial ‘sculptures’ with the ‘non-materials’ light and text, which artistically reflect their architectural surroundings in the old town of the city of Erfurt. John Law studied Visual Arts at the Bath Academy and received a grant from the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague. His project at the timber work facade of the building ‘Zum Güldenen Krönbacken’ focusses on structures using rhythmically conducted light. Peter Sedgley studied Architecture and Construction. He co-founded the Art Information Registry (AIR) Information Centre of the Arts. His project will consist of a light sculpture projected onto the wall of the Renaissance courtyard of the Erfurt Musikschule. The light sculpture will interact with live and taped music.
